Sunset visit to Jayamangali Black buck Reserve

Jayamangali is an open grassland and suitable for a day trip from Bangalore and it took 3 hours to reach from Bangalore. We started around 1PM and reached by evening to watch the black buck and deer during sunset. There are no entry fees and no boundaries, so it’s fun to watch these animals on our way while walking.

It’s a nice quiet place and good to go by walk instead of travelling by vehicle, because black bugs are shy animals and always try to move awayBest time to visit : Early morning or early evening before sunset.

We met a forest department person, he is kind enough to guide us in the right direction to sight black bucks. Before the entrance gate itself, we took a right turn and it really helped us to see more than 40 to 50 black bucks and deer.
