Ukkada Waterfalls, Muthodi Forest (Unexplored waterfalls near Bangalore)
Ukkada Waterfalls is situated inside the coffee plantations on a private property and we need to go through Muthodi forest. We entered the Bhadra Wild life sanctuary, need to drive more than 1Km to reach the home stay.
From the home stay again we need to drive 3 kms and parked the vehicle near the stream. Then we walked through the coffee plantations and take the right side path.
Beyond this point we can’t travel by 4 wheeler. We started to walk and it took one hour to reach the waterfall.
The trekking trail is very steep and narrow where in we need to crawl and go in a few places to reach the unexplored Ukkada Waterfalls

Only localities can guide us as there is no signage or proper path available to reach, and it’s one of the must see Unexplored waterfalls in Karnataka.
The water was crystal clear and cold. We spent more than 2 hours by playing in the Ukkada falls. Initially we reached the base of the waterfall and we need to trek further to reach the top of the waterfall.
Throughout the way we couldn’t see any other people other than one or two coffee estate people. On the way we sighted lots of Samba deer. We were able to see few birds and the humming sound of the birds inside the forest was mesmerizing.
Bhadra Wildlife sanctuary is a wild life tiger reserve forest located in the midst of western ghats in Chikkamagaluru. Muthodi wildlife sanctuary is the other name for this forest.
